Professor Avea Nsoh is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of TEERE.
He has a PhD in linguistics and a B.A Linguistics and French. As a University don, he has 25 years’
experience in teaching, research, university administration, academic counselling, academic leadership and
mentoring of young academics. Again as a former minister of state, he has gained extensive insights into
government particularly local governance and a very good understanding of development work. In development work
has led the implementation of several community development projects both TEERE, government, at the community and
the University. As a result Professor Nsoh, has worldwide networking in the academia, government and the development world.
He has hands-on practical experience in strategic planning, some investment training skills, and a commitment to developing
the creative potential of young people. Revitalising, preserving and promoting Ghanaian and African cultures and languages
are a serious concern to him.
Professor Avea is married to Ms Alice Aniah. Ms Aniah is a school counsellor at the Winneba West circuit in the Central region.
We have three wonderful children: Ataabasum Patience, Avea-Avea Prosper and Asira-Soh Avebire Avea.
Gerhard Lauth was born 1950 in Germany and is living in Mosbach (Baden-Württemberg).
He is married to his wife Brigitte and together they enjoy 2 daughters with 2 grandsons.
He has a Diploma in Public Administration (Verwaltungswirt– State Examination for the higher intermediate Public Administration Service).
As a public officer he worked at the Regional Council and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
Elected by the citizen Gerhard Lauth used to be Mayor for 28 years in Germany in the towns of Waldenburg and Mosbach.
In order to seek another opportunity Gerhard Lauth since 2006 has been working as an international Senior Expert in the public sector with focus on decentralization, good governance and public finance management mostly in Sub Sahara Africa but also in Eastern Europe, Turkey and Afghanistan.
2013/14 he was the manager of the GIZ programme “Support for Decentralization Reforms” in Ghana.
Mr Lauth is Co – writer of the GIZ / ALAT “Handbook for Councilors in Tanzania”, the GIZ /AREU Policy Paper: “Civil Service Reforms in Afghanistan – Roles and Functions of Civil Service Sector” and author of the GIZ “Guidebook on public administration and public finance management” used as reference book for public servants in Greece.
He is also an experienced lecturer in public administration, local government reform, public finance management and civic participation.
Together with the TEERE CEO Professor Dr. Nsoh, Mr Lauth developed the concept for the “TEERE Local Government Forum (TLGF).
As the principal advisor he supports TEERE voluntarily on behalf of the German Senior Expert Service (SES)
Mr. Lauth is currently the acting Manager of the Foundation “Pro Duale Hochschule Mosbach” (Cooperative State University), Ambassador (voluntary representative) to Ghana of the German NGO “ICH – Inter-National Children Help e. V.” and President of a regional section of the German Red Cross.
Mr. Collins Nsiah-Ababio was born in the Ashanti Region where he completed his Secondary Education and left Ghana for Germany in 1969. He has a master’s certificate in ferro & ferro-concret construction and a Diploma in Human Resources Management. He has worked as Human Resources Manager for twenty-five (25) years in a German Distribution Company Trans-o-flex. He is married and has two Children and two grandchildren.
After his Pension, Mr. Nsiah-Ababio is working for Senior Expert Services(SES) since 2014 which has taken him to many organisations in his land of birth, Ghana. Mr. Nsiah-Ababio has trained many employees in Ghana on Human resources management, and administrative duties.
Since 2014, Mr. Nsiah-Ababio has been a civil-member of the town council of Norderstedt in Germany. Mr. Nsiah-Ababio is also a member of the Charity Lions club in Norderstedt and Vice Chairperson of the charity NGO “charity4aid e. v.
Dr. Richard O. Agjei is an accomplished researcher and postdoctoral scholar. He holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Central Nicaragua South America, and a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from Imperial College London. In addition, he earned an MSc in Chemistry from the University of Eastern Finland and another MPhil in Human Rights and Ethics from UEW and another MSc. in Professional Teacher Certificate in Higher Education (PGCE) from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Finland. He's taught in Finland, UK and Ghana.
Dr. Agjei has enhanced his academic foundation with professional training in Leadership and Management in Health and Epidemiology for Global Health from the University of Washington, USA. These credentials have strengthened his capacity to lead multidisciplinary research and funded projects to engage in evidence-based health system and educational reforms.
His research interests are interdisciplinary, spanning Public Health, Curriculum development, Epidemiology, and Environmental Health. His work aims to bridge the gap between research and practice, strongly emphasising improving health outcomes and policy through knowledge translation. Dr. Agjei has published in several high-impact peer-reviewed journals, contributing to global conversations on public health, environmental sustainability, and community well-being. He has served as a reviewer for several journals. Dr. Agjei has served as Chairman of the funding committee of the Centre for Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (CEMRI).
Internationally, he has participated in ERASMUS+ exchange programmes in both Germany, Finland and the United States, promoting cross-cultural academic collaboration and experiential learning. He is also actively involved in several European Union–funded projects (REVIVER, TeProD, Green Gaming Projects), particularly under the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) framework. These projects focus on strengthening institutional capacity in health education, digital innovation, and sustainable development in low- and middle-income countries.
Dr. Agjei continues to work at the intersection of research, teaching, and international collaboration to advance health equity and educational innovation across borders. Recently he and his team
won two ERASMUS+ EU funded project (SignUnity and BioBusiness Catalyst)
Dr. Martin Wiredu Agyekum is a Population Health Scientist and a Research Fellow at the University of Ghana. Before taking this position, he worked in a similar role at the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies(IERIS) at the University of Education, Winneba. His research focuses on the intersections of Population Health and Education. Dr. Agyekum has contributed to a range of interventions, evaluations, and policy-oriented research, including working with the Ghana Statistical Services(GSS) on different projects. He has consulted for local and international organisations such as the WHO, GIZ, UNFPA and GSS. He remains committed to advancing population health and education, driving evidence-based solutions that foster sustainable and impactful change in Ghana and beyond.
Bodua-Mango Kenneth is the Programme Coordinator (Operations) at the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Technical Support Services (METSS) LBG, where he leads the research implementation component of the Mastercard Foundation–sponsored programme. He is also a PhD candidate in Linguistics at the University of Ghana, Legon, focusing on coordination and serial verb constructions in Gonja.
Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Ghana (2009) and an MPhil in Linguistics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim (2012), completed under the Norwegian Government Quota Scheme Scholarship. His MPhil thesis was a corpus-based study of Coordinators in Safaliba, a Gur (Mabia) language of northern Ghana.
He has taught General Linguistics and Gonja at the University of Education, Winneba, and the Accra College of Education. A recipient of the AFSOAS (2019) and Volkswagen Foundation (2021) scholarships, he has also provided consultancy services for USAID-METSS, USAID-Learning, and World Education, Ghana. His research and publications focus on Safaliba and Gonja linguistics, and he is a member of LAG, ATGHL, and UTAG
Mathias Aboba is a seasoned communication scholar and consultant with expertise in health communication, intercultural engagement, and organizational learning. His work is grounded in interpretive and critical cultural methodologies, offering deep insights into the interplay between communication, culture, and social systems.
He holds advanced degrees in Communication and Development Studies (Ohio University) and Communication and Advocacy (James Madison University), complemented by a BA in Integrated Development Studies from the University for Development Studies, Ghana.
Mathias has led strategic initiatives across government, non-profit, and consulting sectors, with a focus on Institutional Learning, Knowledge Management, and Public Relations. His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening health systems at both regional and national levels, fostering collaboration among government agencies, international donors, and community stakeholders.
Renowned for his strategic communication skills and commitment to evidence-based solutions, Mathias brings a client-centered approach to designing and implementing impactful communication strategies that drive change and enhance organizational effectiveness.
